Still operating under a soft opening during our visit in July 2026, this location is an adjunct to Kyuramen—a co-marketing arrangement that seems to be a growing pattern for the Kyuramen brand. Aoko Matcha offers Matcha Frappes, Lattes, and Gelato. We tried the gelato today, which comes in six levels of matcha (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, and #8), plus Hojicha and Yuzu flavors. If you order at the counter, they let you sample the flavors first. Otherwise, there’s a convenient ordering kiosk if you already know what you want. Personally, I couldn't tell much of a difference between levels 1 through 3. At level 4, I started to taste a bit of bitterness, and levels 5 and 8 were progressively more bitter and less sweet. I ended up getting a scoop of level 5 which I could easily tolerate. It was a good treat , but I honestly crave matcha soft-serve more and was a bit surprised it isn't offered on the menu.

Amazing place for dessert, connected to the Kyuramen next door. The Kyuramen location offers the Aoko Matcha menu as well so you can take a look at that before coming in here to order. Space is a bit small but most people were ordering takeout, steady stream of customers but still sufficient space for our party of 6 to sit and enjoy the ice cream. There is a scale of different flavors of the matcha ice cream depending on how strong you would like your matcha flavor to be, which I enjoyed. Overall an amazing place to stop by for a quick dessert especially since I was there during a heat wave! Image: Two cups of two scoops each. The first cup is yuzu ice cream and hojicha, the second cup is of matcha (level 3) and hojicha.

I got the Aoko Special Matcha Frappe (Ice cream choice Matcha 3). When we got in, there's a digital screen that you can order from or you can order at the counter directly. The space is a bit small but a good amount of tables and chairs. There was somebody already being helped at the counter so my fiance and I decided to order from the digital screen. We didnt know what we wanted so it took some time to decide and at that point the employee was done with the customer that was at the counter so they assisted us by offering us to sample any of the soft serve flavors. The flavors being mostly matcha ranging how deep you'd want your matcha flavor to be, 1 being the lowest. I got 3 so it'd be right in the middle! Any higher it mightve been a bit too bitter for me. The two other soft serve flavors was just as good. The brown one tasted like chocolate but its actually roasted green tea. It had a nice nutty taste to it. The white one is called Yuzu, it tasted like orange cream soda ! Very citrus, creamy and delicious! Definitely would come back to try more.

Great tasting matcha and atmosphere. Matcha and hojicha were both very rich and flavorful. We enjoyed both the drinks and gelato! Can’t wait to go back to try their soft serve

Pretty busy. Goes kinda fast though. Order at the self serve kiosk. Matcha gelato has levels 1-5, with 1 being the lightest. There's hojicha (roasted matcha) and yuzu too. They don't have parfaits for soft opening but you can basically make one from the gelato and added toppings. They don't have lids that fit the gelato cups. The wooden spoons they give for the gelato kind of change the taste a bit. It's where Tbaar used to be so I'm guessing you can order this as dessert if you eat at Kyuramen.
